A punctual inspection of cliffs is the most accurate and quick method to define, quantify and then engineer the necessary works for the securing of rocky ridges. It's usually combined with a light cleaning that ensures to technicians and to the rock climbers team a reconnaissance in the wall safely.
At this stage, the three figures work in team, considering the conditions of the cliff in terms of geo-morphological, structural and operational, so as to give an aimed, realistic and and cost-effective planning for a quck and an optimal resolution of a critical detected situation.
Active Protection: cleaning, clear-cutting, controlled demolitions, rockfall nets, steel rope panels, geosynthetic and biomats, bandages, anchors, micropoles, ties.
Passive Protection: rockfall barriers, Debris Flow barriers, barriers against avalanches.
This last stage, performed by technical rock climbers, engineers and geologists it's very important. It allows to monitor the conditions of the wall and of the works carried out and to intervene promptly in case of need.
